The Clinical Trials Unit facilitates and coordinates clinical research in the areas of prevention, treatment, palliation, and quality of life. Through clinical trials, patients are provided with the opportunity to access state-of-the-art treatments while helping future cancer patients.

All research studies involving CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) and/or CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute (CCMR), in whole or in part, must undergo review and approval by CCMB’s Research Review Impact Committee (RRIC) prior to initiating any study activity. 

Medical Physics at CancerCare Manitoba is unique in Canada in that it covers all aspects of cancer control: medical devices, nuclear electronics, radiation protection, imaging physics, and radiotherapy physics, with an active Medical Physics Research Program that supports both undergraduate and graduate training programs
