If you have just received a diagnosis of breast cancer, you are no doubt overwhelmed by many troubling feelings. At the same time, you are being faced with unfamiliar terms and enormous decisions to be made.

At the Breast Cancer Centre of Hope you will find at least some of the information and support you need at this difficult time.

We are here for you with:

  • a nurse educator to help you sort out the medical side of things
  • one or more members of our team of peer supporters with whom you may make contact through the nurse educator
  • a lending library of books, videos, audio tapes, CDs, CD-ROMs and DVDs
  • information on the support groups and services available around the province
  • our own volunteer representatives right in your community or health region
  • a toll-free number to call if you live outside Winnipeg (1-888-660-4866).
