Business and Innovation Officer - REVISED
Radiation Oncology Program

Under the supervision of the Department Head, Radiation Oncology Program, the Business and Innovation Officer manages the Medical Devices Group and ensures the proper acquisition and completion of projects. The Business and Inovation Officer reviews the operations of the Radiation Oncology Program as it relates to ongoing activities and new projects/initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for the preparation of project plans and timelines; routine project updates, forecasts, project expense tracking, reports and detailed reconciliation, and verification of documentation. The Business and Innovation Officer works in adherence to the CancerCare Manitoba Cancer Plan, Mission, Vision and Values.



  • University Degree in Health Care Administration or Business or equivalent experience particularly in the area of Radiation Oncology as determined by CancerCare Manitoba.
  • Experience in planning and implementing technology-related products.
  • Experience in program development, implementation of new systems, and change management strategies.
  • Experience in stakeholder and vendor relation consultations.
  • Proven track record of producing results within time and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio).
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Satisfactory employment record.

  • Project Management Professional Certification.
